Breakage Insights
Find out exactly where, why and how often glass breaks in your plant.

When a piece breaks, the worker records it with a scan. A replacement is queued automatically, and the breakage is tagged with stage, machine and reason.
Breakage reports show trends by stage, thickness and worker, so you can fix the real cause, whether that is a furnace setting or a handling problem.
- One-scan breakage entry
- Automatic rework queue
- Breakage by stage, reason and worker
- Loss in SQM and value
Rework has its own list
Pieces that must be made again appear in the Rework screen, and the dashboard shows the number of pending rework items. A worker records breakage with the same scan used for the stage, so the replacement piece is on the list straight away.
Hold glass
A separate Hold Glass screen keeps pieces that should not move on, for example while a customer confirms a change. A red marker in the menu shows when something is on hold, so it is not forgotten.
Where the glass is being lost
Breakage insights show where breakage happens by stage, so the owner can see whether the problem sits at edge work, washing or the furnace, and fix that stage first.

How does a worker report a broken piece?
From the scanner screen. The scan identifies the piece and the breakage is recorded against its order and stage.
Can I see breakage by stage?
Yes. The breakage insights group the breakage by stage.
What happens to a piece on hold?
It stays in the Hold Glass list until someone releases it, and the menu shows a red marker while anything is held.
